  • Lower your energy bills.
  • Raise the value of your home.
  • Generate additional tax free income.
  • Reduce your carbon footprint.

There is a major problem in the world right now and that is the excessive use of fossil fuels for generating electricity. This is throwing out tonnes of emissions every day that is slowly but surely, damaging our planet and destroying the habitats of many species of wildlife. Solar panels for your home can play a great role in cutting down on these emissions and, at the same time, saving you money on your monthly energy bills. Not only this, but you can also earn up to £1000 a year (or more) by selling any unused electricity back to the national grid that you don’t use. This is part of the government’s Feed In Tariff scheme.

The county is home to the European headquarters’ of both Ford and New Holland, both of which are manufacturers of different types of automobile.

Essex has many transport links, one of the most obvious being the London Stansted airport which supports many internation arilines and is the base of many flights worldwide. the county is also very well linked with roads – the M11 and M25 motorways both pass through it, linking to many other parts of the country and road systems.

Essex has a strong heritage, containing over 14,000 listed properties. This include such landmarks as Colchester castle, Hedingham castle and Audley end house. There are also saxon churches and other historic places of note. The coat of arms that represents the county features three swords which are in fact Saxon seax knives which are set on a red background. This demontrates the anglo-saxon history of the area.

The county has many schools – over 90 state schools providing education to the local children and teenagers. There is also a large University – The University of Essex which provides higher educations to students that come from across the UK and worldwide. The University is located close to Colchester and was first started in 1963.

Being a southern county, Essex is great for solar panels in the UK, since being located southerly means the area gets a little more sun than the Northern parts of the country.
